Frequently Asked Questions

Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?
Yes. D’Alfonso’s Native Landscapes is fully licensed, bonded, and insured in the state of California. Our license number is 465767. We prioritize safety, accountability, and professionalism on every project.
Do you use eco-friendly materials and practices?
Absolutely. We specialize in California native plantings, low-water irrigation systems, decomposed granite paths, and mulches that support soil health and water retention. We also avoid synthetic fertilizers and use safe, selective herbicide applications when necessary.
Do you hold any eco-certifications or green accreditations?
Our approach is guided by principles of ecological design, water conservation, and native habitat restoration. While we don’t currently list formal third-party green certifications, our work is aligned with sustainable landscaping practices recognized by the California Native Plant Society, Las Pilitas Nursery, and local water conservation guidelines.
Do your landscapes attract wildlife?
Yes! Native gardens provide seasonal color and welcome the return of birds, butterflies, bees, and other pollinators. We also offer raptor perch and owl box installation to support natural pest control and promote a balanced ecosystem. Our water features are a favorite for birds as well.
What areas do you serve?
We offer design and installation services primarily in San Luis Obispo County.
